Nose
A good place to park your finger. Also storage for anything that will fit until Mom goes spelunking and takes it away.
Update: As of March 1, 2006, we have had no additional nose storage issues, so it looks like this particular game has run its course. It's interesting to look at and realize that it only ran for about two months... At the time, it felt like it was going on forever!
Update 2: Spoke too soon (see April and May entries). Nothing since then, but there's no way I'm calling it over again.
A running total of nose storage for Dee is as follows:
As of June 7, 2005
- three pieces of paper, a piece of cooked corn, a piece of uncooked corn, two pieces of styrofoam, and two chunks of orange peel. Spelunking required.
June 10, 2005
- one piece of clean, shredded toilet paper and one chunk of cooked red bell pepper (both removed without spelunking).
June 20, 2005
- cooked carrots, mostly removed, but not completely due to squishy nature of the carrots.
June 22, 2005
- black foam (removed without spelunking).
July 3, 2005
- piece of styrofoam ripped off of stroller and shoved up nose. Spelunking required and difficult, though successful. Eventually.
July 7, 2005
- piece of tomato while at On the Border. Assumed to have fallen out.
July 13, 2005
- piece of salmon bread, shoved all the way back. Removed via the "puff in the mouth" method recommended by my father, the doctor. Benefit=no spelunking. Drawback=catching snot-covered chunk of salmon in the face.
July 18, 2005
- chunk of cooked ham. Fortunately, it was too large to go too far up and was retreived with only minor spelunking.
July 22, 2005
- A piece of bright green foam ripped off of a sticker. Spelunking required.
August 1, 2005
- A piece of chewed-up paper. Spelunking required.
April 17, 2006
- A popcorn kernal. Snorted out by Dee.
May 29, 2006
August 4, 2007
- A wad of paper. Blown out by Dee upon threat of shots and time out for the rest of her life.
